Who the Veterans Services Program Serves:

Carroll County veterans of any age, a widow or widower of a veteran, a child of a deceased or disabled veteran and parents who lost a son or daughter in military service.

Carroll County Veteranís Shuttle Transportation Program

Veteran Directed Home & Community Based Services Program

PURPOSE: The Maryland Department of Aging in collaboration with the Veterans Administration Medical Center and the Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities administer the Veteran Directed Home and Community Bases Services Program. The goal of the program is to help veterans stay in their homes and be engaged in their communities. Veterans enrolled in the program, self-direct and manage a budget that may be used to supplement or meet their long term care support needs without resorting to assisted living or nursing home care.

ELIGIBILITY: Veterans must be current participants in the VA Maryland Healthcare System, Home Care Program.
